Biography

Morewe joined the AIR Lab in September 2026 as a PhD student and a recipient of the RedBird PhD Recruitment Award. She is jointly supervised by Professor Jize Zhang and Professor Ilias Dimitrakopoulos. Her research focuses on structural engineering and natural hazards, with particular emphasis on earthquake engineering. She develops computational frameworks for advanced structural analysis to improve infrastructure resilience.

Before joining HKUST, Morewe earned a BTech in Civil Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2022 and an MSc in Natural Hazards and Risks in Structural Engineering from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in 2026.
