Biography

Chen joined the AIR lab in June 2022 as its inaugural PhD student. His research focuses on deep-learning-based defect detection for building surfaces.

Before joining HKUST, Chen received a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from SUSTech in Shenzhen, China, followed by an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
