Ahmed Gamal Khedr

Biography

Ahmed joined the AIR Lab in August 2023 to pursue his doctoral research, which focuses on automated shear wall optimization design for high-rise buildings under wind loads. He is joinly supervised by Prof. Tim KT Tse and Prof. Jize Zhang.

Ahmed got his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mansoura University (Mansoura, Egypt)in 2015, graduating with the highest honors (ranked first in his class). Since then, he has been working as a teaching and research academic staff member at Mansoura University. In 2021, he completed his Master’s degree at Mansoura University, where his research focused on the dynamic response of cable-stayed bridges subjected to buffeting wind forces.

Ahmed is an HKPFS awardee.
