Ahmed Gamal Khedr

Biography

Ahmed joined the AIR lab in August 2023 to pursue doctoral research on automated shear-wall design optimization for high-rise buildings under wind loads. He is jointly supervised by Prof. Tim K. T. Tse and Prof. Jize Zhang.

Ahmed received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mansoura University in Egypt in 2015, graduating with highest honors and ranking first in his class. He subsequently worked as a teaching and research staff member at Mansoura University. In 2021, he completed his master’s degree there, focusing on the dynamic response of cable-stayed bridges subjected to buffeting wind forces.

Ahmed is an HKPFS awardee.
